Does your organization care for children with medical needs or disabilities? Let me support your work by contributing to the emotional wellbeing of the families you support.

As a certified instructor and social worker I support families caring for children with medical needs with practical tools developed by Hand in Hand Parenting. These tools allow parents to support their children well emotionally and support each other as peers. This allows families to find safety, community, relief and creates strong family bonds and much needed joyful moments.

What my participants say:

I recommend Respectful Parenting as a resource to build community around nurturing children in a warm and respectful way. I took the 6 week course and took away the following: within an international community we can learn evidence based techniques for nurturing the best in children and in ourselves; that the disappointments that may unconsciously influence our caretaking can be brought to light and worked with; that our difficulties are universal and through consciousness and mutual support, transformative. I took the course because I had known Johanna professionally in the past and her compassionate approach to people had made a deep impression on me. I am so grateful I took the course because now I have a network of people who care about nurturing children with compassion and joy, and nurturing one another with listening and mutual support, from all over the world.

Johanna's done an amazing job throughout the study group. She's given us excellent positive parenting guidelines, which are very helpful to apply to personal growth and professionally, I am very grateful to have been part of it.

Dra. Luisa Manzone, Argentina

My Zoom meeting with Johanna was refreshing and most useful to both my professional work in the child welfare system as well as in my private life as a mother of a toddler. I look forward to learning more.

Emily Voldahl, US

I attended a zoom call tonight and it was very informative, very reassuring and helped me see things from a different perspective! I highly recommend these tools.

Nisa Porter

The zoom meeting with Johanna was great, it was lovely to share some struggles and learn something new. It gave me some insight into new strategies I can use in my parenting journey. I honestly can’t wait to put this into practice.
